Movement

Have you ever watched the waves hit the beach? They come rolling or sometimes crashing in wave after wave. The timing in between the waves varies. The wind makes the waves. The currents make the waves. Yet, somehow there is a natural rhythm. The waves don’t produce themselves. They are the result of nature following the laws of nature. The waves just exist in motion due to the external factors of nature. God makes the waves. He makes them move. The waves respond to Him.

It is the same with movements of peoples and nations to Christ. We see the nations, like waves hitting a beach, coming to Christ. We recognize that God is the one producing the waves — Lord of the sea.  But like the wind and the currents, there are factors involved that aren’t always seen. Like the wind, prayer produces movement. Like the currents, our own inpidual actions, going in the flow of the Spirit, produces movement. God is the power behind the movements of peoples and nations.  But like the wind and currents, we can affect the movement of people and even nations to Christ. With Christ in us, the movements of people respond to Him.

Colossians 1:27

“To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”

So make a ripple with your life. Pray. Go. Send. Together with Him in us, we can bring movement of nations to Christ-like waves crashing to the shore. Let your movement begin!
